get fit with kirstennicc - exercise plan - week three - thursday

so today I'm super busy, i have a party type thing to go to, so that means my exercise is kind of going to be a little harder to fit in but in these times you just have to make it work!
and you know its not true when you say "theres no time, I'm too busy" everyone has at least half a hour of there day free.
today's workout will be the exact same as Tuesdays, i prefer the video workouts to be honest. the company ad the feeling of someone helping you through it makes me push harder for some reason!
i just hook my laptop up to my tv and go, super easy to do.

Thursday 29th august

get fit with kirstennicc - exercise plan - week three - tuesday

again, a day late, im super sorry, truth is ive been super unwell. basiclly i was visited by "tom" and i just had no energy, couldnt eat anything, and had the worst cramps imaginable. i spent about 70% of this last week/weekend sleeping and feeling sorry for myself.

last weeks workout plan was a major slack on my part, i felt so ill i just couldn't even, there was just no way it was happening. also Ive been getting really bad dizzy turns and cold sweats while working out, what is probably down to me being poorly. if you haven't read my intro to my health and fitness side of my blog, i explained everything there roughly.
my exercise and eating is all over the place, although the past two weeks combined i have lost 3 pounds which I'm really happy about considering all the obstacles that have been in the way since I've started, i need to focus on motivating myself for the better, its really not easy but I'm working through it, anyway too this weeks work out!
this week i decided to try something a little different, i found some workouts on you tube that i was interested in trying so that's what I'm doing!

Get fit with kirstennicc- Five ways to reach a healthy weight

five ways to reach a healthy wight

When it comes to reaching and maintaining a healthy weight, dieting is never the way to go. Diets are tempory eatting plans, there for can only give you tempory results. This is how "yo-yo dieting" happens. Yo-Yo dieting is basically when you diet and lose a load of wieght, you then stop your diet and gain it all back, then you repeat over and over again becoming a yo-yo dieter.
The only way to avoid this is to create a new normal, its that simple.
Weight loss is most successful if you change your habbits, out with the old and in with the new!
I have five helpful tips to banish your old unheathly ways and bring you a new healthy ones.

Exercise

A regular routine however light or intense burns calories and tone up. This will make you feel amazing both inside and out and also keeps the weight off.
It can be as simple as walking to school or cleaning around the house.
Exercise dvds are amazing for me because i get into it more when people help me. You could get friends together and workout as a group and have fun while doing it. The important thing is, dont see exercise as a chore, the more you do it the better it is, promise.

Watch your portions

The more you eat the more calories you intake, so choose smaller portions, if your at a reasturant, and say you want a side of chips, share them with whoevers with you. You can still have your chips and its less calories. Try replace your fizzy drinks with water or milk too. There is so much sugar in fizzy drinks its just not worth it! I saw on tv once that if you have one can of energy juice, you would have to do lunges for two hours just to burn off the calories!

Reduce tv time

The amount of time people sat on there butts watching tv or looking at the computer is the reason for the low amount of exerice we get now-a-days.
Try reducing the amount of time you watch tv by one hours, and every month, try take another hour off. Its the best way to do it i think. Also, instead of skyping your frineds from your bedroom, go out and do things with them, not only will you bond with your friends you could lose wieght while doing it!

  Get your 5-a-day!

Fruit and veg is needed to run a healthy body, thats a fact. Not only are they packed full of vitamins and mineral, they also give us viber. Viber is amazing from running a healthy digestive system but also fills us up. Filling up on fruit rather than say, sweets makes us less likey to overeat, high-cal foods give us a short buzz of energy. Ever eaten a mcdonalds and then say a hour later been really hungry for more?

Dont miss breakfast

I never ate beakfast before, sometimes i skipped lunch too. This was so unhealthy and bad for my body. I can remember almost passing out at school becuase i wasnt eatting. The fact is, your most likely going to gain weight by doing this, think about it, you eat something at 8pm, sleep until 7am, thats 11/12 hours your body hasnt been fed. If you skip breakfast that goes up to say 18 hours. can i just say, your poor body!
Fun fact skipping breakfast is what sumo wrestlers do to help gain weight and store fat.. put you off skipping now?

All of these together will help you so much when it comes to losing weight and keeping it off, something to remember is weight doesnt disapear over night. It will take time, so dont be put off if results dont show at first

Kisses xoxo

Get fit with kirstennicc- getting started

Getting started

I've decied that im starting a new 'series' thats basically all about health fitness and weight loss. To sum it up, im going to be documenting my exercise and eating plan, along with a record of the wieght i lossed/gained in the process. I'll be sharing low fat recipes and great workouts that im liking randomly throughout the weeks too. Feel free to join in with me because id honestly love that.

Im trying not too get too personal with this but, recently i was told i had some blood problems. ( Im still being tested for things but i may do a post on it later). These problems make it hard for me to do things like walking and standing without getting dizzy and needing to lay down. So with that most of 2011/ 2012 were spent in bed. Without any form of activity i gained alot of weight. Im very insecure about my body, so much so i hate leaving the house and i get in a panic when people look at me (stupid, i know). So im doing something about it, a years plan of healthy eating a exercise to slowly, but safely help me ( and you if you join in) lose weight!

 Personal Goals

  • Lose around 3 pound a week.
  • Hit my target weight of 7 stone.
  • Start yoga to increase flexibility and muscle tone.
  • Drink 2 litres of water everyday
  • Incorparate new fruit and veg into my diet
  • Get into my old size 10 jeans
  • Gain some confidence and learn to love myself!
I will be back to start this soon, kisses xoxo
